THE DETAILS The asset acquisition includes three feminine care brands covering sanitary pads, liners and tampons, alongside related manufacturing equipment in Brazil. The acquired business generated approximately BRL800 million (US$156 million) in net sales in the 12 months to June 30, 2026, with Essity describing the operation as profitable. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval and completion of the Kimberly-Clark-Kenvue transaction, with closing expected in Q2 2027.
THE WHY? The deal supports Essity’s strategy of concentrating investment on its most value-creating categories, giving the company a stronger position in Brazil’s feminine care market while complementing its existing leadership in the country’s incontinence segment.
